I continually strive to evolve consciously and my art is a reflection of this process. I am currently exploring the dynamic created when seemingly opposing conditions are allowed to exist simultaneously: freedom & restraint, visibility & invisibility, activity & rest. My intention is to highlight the beauty that exists when these states harmonize with one another rather than compete with one another. I believe that artwork resonates with the energy of intention and hope that my paintings add harmony to the spaces in which they live. -Brian Bruce
My figurative paintings focus on the process by which humanity evolves towards a greater sense of peace. The figures in my work struggle, hope, heal, and persevere. Through their experiences they continually evolve their concept of “self ” and gradually transition from a limited identity towards an infinite one. -Brian Bruce
